RE: Missed businesses
Oct 2 2007, 11:16 AM EDT You are also missing the following:College Pub, Downstairs Sports Bar, Long Branch Saloon, Pumping Station, H&R Block,Whitewater Glass Co, LaTienda Grocery, Lodgewood Mfg, Belton Hearing Center, Banco Insurance, Wisconsin Community Mental Health Counseling Center, R&R Music, Patricia Bromley PhD., Fat Jacks, Hawaiian Tan, Vultaggio Rentals, Sofa & Devitt Law Offices, Stephen Spears Law Office, Allen Hicks Insurance, Irma's Hair Design, Dental Perfections, Gilmore Dental Group, Kraus Dental and Pinnacle Bancorp to name just a FEW more. Perhaps whoever is working with this site should be a bit more careful. Many of these businesses have been in the downtown area for a good many years and should be recognized for their long standing in the community. 2 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |

RE: Missed businesses
Jan 3 2008, 4:06 PM EST Thanks for helping me with this! As a volunteer, I am doing the best I can to help build this site. I was at a bit of a loss when it came to building the business listing. I used the business list on the city website, noticed that many were missing, realized the city had used the chamber list (which only includes chamber members) and so went through the phone book page by page and tried to add back as many as I could. I was counting on people like you to notice the missed ones and email in. It's a tough call - I knew I'd frustrate some people by adding an incomplete list, but the alternative, given that no comprehensive list exists, to my knowledge, is either to wait until I have the time to make sure it is complete or to just punt on the whole idea, so as not to offend anyone. I personally think we do too much of the latter already. If someone has a better suggestion on how to build or update this listing, I'd love to hear it... maybe there's a list out there I don't know about? So, I'm sorry if I offended you, and am sincerely appreciative that you took the time to add the entries. I'll update them ASAP. If you have the expertise or interest and would like to help keep the site updated and thus more relevant, we'd be thrilled to have your help. Kristine Z 0 out of 2 found this valuable. Do you? |
