Why do I need an Instagram?

Instagram is a growing platform for businesses. With over 800 million users worldwide, it will allow you to connect with a new audience. It is a very personal platform, and allows you to make connections with your customers in a unique way using images.

Setting up a profile

You want to set up your Instagram account as a business profile. It will connect to the Facebook page for your business, and will give you insights that you can’t get with a regular Instagram account. You will be able to see how many profile visits you’ve had, how many website clicks, how many accounts you reached, how many impressions you make, how many times your posts are seen, details about your promotions, who your audience is, and when the best days and times to post are.

Make sure your account is easily identifiable as your business. Your username should reflect your business name, and your profile picture should be your logo. Instagram now allows business accounts to add contact information, so make sure that you click on Edit Profile then Contact Options and fill in your email address, phone number and physical address if you have one. You should also make sure that you choose a category that reflects your business.

Make sure that your Instagram profile is connected to your Facebook page, if you have one. This is important because it allows you to automatically post Instagram photos to your Facebook page. You can also promote posts across both platforms which allows you to reach a larger audience for cheap.

When it comes to writing your bio, keep it short and sweet. Show off the personality of your business but make sure you’re also telling people a little bit about it as well.
