The Whitewater Aquatic Center offers swimming facilities year-round! Daily admission for Whitewater resident is $8.00 and allows access to the family pool which features many fun activities for kids, the 8 lane lap pool, and hot tub. Or you can get a seasonal or annual pass and visit any time you like!
The Nordic Trail Head is located to the east of town and features 7 different cross country ski trails and a sledding hill for the little ones! With a Wisconsin license plate, a daily park sticker will cost $8 or you can purchase an annual pass for $28.
Curl up with a good book at Irvin L Young Memorial Library or check one out to read by the fireplace at home. They have a great selection of books for all ages and preferences. They also offer tons of programs and events for kids, which you can find information about on their website.
On Saturdays from 9am-noon, the Whitewater City Market is held in the Community Room of the Irvin L Young Memorial Library. Come pick up some fresh produce, delicious baked goods, and crafts made by local artisans!
The Cinemas of Whitewater is another great option! They offer a selection of movies for the whole family at a great price. Check out their websites to see what’s currently playing and for showtimes.
Located on the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Campus, the Young Auditorium features a wide range of shows. From Frozen Sing Alongs to world renowned plays and musicals like Jersey Boys and Rent, this season’s schedule features a little something for everyone. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious hot meal at one of Whitewater’s many restaurants! Fanatico offers authentic Italian food and a romantic atmosphere. Or cozy up at The Black Sheep, which offers a seasonal, locally sourced menu and intimate atmosphere. For a more casual meal, Casual Joe’s serves up delicious barbecue, with amazing mac and cheese. And both 841 Brewhouse and Second Salem offer locally brewed beers and pub food.
